Our Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Your privacy and security are our priorities.
Last Updated: February 25, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Ascend Artificial ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit our website at ascendartificial.com and interact with our Ascend Onboarding platform. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide to Us When you submit a contact form, request a demo, or use the Ascend Grader, we collect:
Your name
Email address
Company name
Your message, inquiry, or onboarding data (for grading purposes)
If you call us, we may collect your phone number and notes from our conversation.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically (Anonymized Analytics) When you visit our website, we use Framer Analytics to gather general, anonymized website statistics (such as page views and broad device categories) to help us improve our site. Framer hashes your IP address and user agent with a daily rotating secret. This means we do not collect, track, or store any personal data, IP addresses, or persistent identifiers from your general website browsing.
3. How We Use Your Information & Our Legal Basis
Under the GDPR, we must have a valid legal basis to process your data. We use your information for the following purposes:
To respond to inquiries and demo requests: We process this data based on your Consent (when you submit a form) or our Legitimate Interest in providing customer service.
To improve website performance and user experience: We analyze anonymized website traffic to understand which content is helpful. We do this based on our Legitimate Interest in maintaining and improving our website.
To provide our services: If you become a customer, we process your data based on Contractual Necessity to deliver the Ascend Onboarding platform.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We only share your data with trusted service providers necessary to run our business:
Website Hosting: Our website is hosted on Framer, which processes basic, anonymized website data to provide hosting services securely.
Business Operations: We use secure third-party email providers and customer relationship management (CRM) systems to handle your form submissions and inquiries.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or to comply with legal processes in Norway or the EU.
5. Cookies and Analytics
Our website is built and hosted on Framer. By default, Framer and its built-in analytics tool (Framer Analytics) do not use cookies. Because we do not use third-party tracking scripts, advertising pixels, or non-essential cookies, our website does not require a cookie consent banner. Any purely technical operations required by our server to keep the website functioning securely do not track you and do not require user consent.
6. Data Security & Retention
Security: We protect your information with encryption during transmission (SSL/TLS), secure storage on protected servers, and strict access controls limiting who can see your data. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
Retention: We keep your contact inquiries for up to 2 years from your last communication, after which they are securely deleted unless you become an active customer.
7. International Data Transfers
Ascend Artificial AS is based in Norway. Your information is primarily processed in Norway and the European Economic Area (EEA). If we use service providers based outside the EEA (such as US-based secure email or CRM tools), we ensure your data is protected under valid legal frameworks, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
8. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Delete your personal information (the "right to be forgotten").
Restrict or Object to our processing of your data.
Withdraw Consent at any time (e.g., for marketing emails).
